Mission Statement: Serving all in Christ’s name – we aim to be a caring, growing community, welcoming everyone in worship and outreach. About the Church... The church was originally founded in 1890. Since this time we have moved into smaller premises and have had our centenary in 1993. The church is a member of The Bristol North Circuit and Bristol District we are also an active member of Bishopston Inter Church Group (BIG). Sunday Morning worship starts at 10:30am. The 3rd Sunday of every Month is a Family Service. Evening Worship begins at 06:30pm. The congregation is made up of lots of different people and ages who are all friendly and will make you feel welcome. About our Minister...
Minister, Bishopston Methodist Church (from Sept. 2009): Revd. Ajay Singh (B.D.) (Satyaniketan Theological college, Allahabad, UP. India.Uunder the Senate of Serampore, WB, India 1989 - 1992). Revd. Ajay Singh came to Bristol from “Swindon & Marlborough Methodist Circuit (07/24)”, Wiltshire, UK after serving there from 2004 - 2009 as a World Church Partner on behalf of Diocese of Lucknow under Church of North India, INDIA. On 5th July 2009, he been Received into Full Methodist Connexion at The Methodist Conference -2009, Wolverhampton, UK. Church Ministry from 1992 - … 1992 - Diocese of Patna, (CNI). Bihar, INDIA. 1997 - Diocese of Lucknow (CNI). UP, INDIA. 1996 - Regional Youth Director (under Diocese of Patna, Bihar) CNI, India 1998 - Coordinator, Uttar Prdesh Regional Board of Health Service, DOL, CNI, India 1999 - Coordinator, Diocesan Board of Social Service DOL, CNI, India. 2000 - Director, Christian Education Mission & Evangelism under DOL, CNI, India. 2003 - Prebyter-in-Charge, All Saints’ Cathedral in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. 2004 - Minister, Bath Road Methodist Church, Swindon, Wiltshire, UK (with the Project by World Church in Britain Partnership under The Methodist Church, UK). 2009 - Minister, Bishopston Methodist Church, Parkway Methodist Church, Eastville Park Methodist Centre Church, Bristol, UK.
